St. Nicholas' Nippers - Mums' and Toddlers' Group
Every Tuesday morning between 9.30 and 11.00 St. Nicholas Church is transformed. A carpet is rolled out in the chancel area and the whole Church is filled with toys, music and children’s laughter for St. Nicholas’ Nippers, our pram service.
This “service” is especially for babies and young children and their parents,
grandparents or carers. Don’t worry if you can’t get there by 9.30 just come
whenever you are ready and join in the fun. During the morning we will have
a story (usually from the Bible), a drink and biscuit, simple craft activity
and some singing, as well as time to play.
A date for your diary is our Festival during the weekend of 11th and 12th September. This year we are focusing on the talent found in Laindon both past and present. So the flower arrangements and displays in Church will pick up on this theme. There will also be stalls and sideshows in the car park area as we had a couple of years ago. A few people have volunteered to be responsible for different stalls but we need more if the festival is to be as good as the one in 2008. Please have a word with me or the Wardens, Peter and Ken, if you are able to help in this way – many hands make light work.
With all good wishes
God bless,
Diane
